My practice involves unearthing fragments of local folklore and social heritage. I am intrigued by the way a snippet of a story or rumour develops and becomes fact, attaining mythical status by word of mouth. Using sites and stories to which I have a personal connection, my work explores wider issues, such as local identity, heritage and belief systems.

I use a variery of media, from print to sculpture to light installation, from collage to book-making to photography, often combining these elements to form installation pieces.
